Prices for Ayurveda in Kerala run from a few thousand rupees for a single session to several lakhs for a long residential stay. That range is not a trick. It reflects genuinely different things being sold. Here is how to read it.
Typical price bands
| Format | Typical length | Indicative range (INR) | Approx. (USD) |
| Single session | 1 to 2 hours | ₹2,000 to ₹8,000 | $20 to $85 |
| Multi-session series | 3 to 5 sessions | ₹6,000 to ₹15,000 | $65 to $160 |
| Short residential stay | 5 days | ₹25,000 to ₹50,000 | $265 to $530 |
| Full residential stay | 7 days | ₹50,000 to ₹90,000 | $530 to $950 |
| Extended stay | 14 days and up | ₹1,50,000 upward | $1,600 upward |
Dollar figures are approximate, converted at roughly ₹95 to the US dollar. Rates move, so treat them as a guide and check the current rate when you book. Programs are priced and charged in rupees.
Programs currently live on Lifed sit between roughly ₹6,000, about $65, for a multi-session day program and around ₹90,000, about $950, for a residential stay, per person. Check the live pages for current prices, since they are set by the Healthmates hosting them.
What actually drives the price
Accommodation standard. The single biggest lever in a residential stay. Same practitioner, same sessions, very different room.
Length. Cost per day usually falls as the stay gets longer, while the total rises.
Number and type of sessions. More scheduled sessions per day, longer sessions, and specialised programs cost more.
Practitioner involvement. A stay with real consultation time and a schedule built for you costs more than a fixed package applied to everyone.
Single occupancy. Solo travellers often pay a supplement. Check this before comparing two prices.
Season. December to March is peak in most of Kerala. Monsoon months are often cheaper and are a traditional season for Ayurveda.
The extras that catch people out
- Airport transfers, when they are not included
- Single occupancy supplement
- Preparations or products suggested at the end of the stay
- Additional sessions added during the stay
- Flights, insurance and the travel days either side
A price is only comparable once you know what is inside it. Two seven-day stays at very different prices are often two different products.
Is cheaper worse?
Not automatically. A small centre with an experienced practitioner and simple rooms can be excellent. What matters more than price is whether the page tells you the truth: who is hosting, what is scheduled, what is included, and what happens if you cancel. Vagueness is the real warning sign, not a modest price.
On Lifed, the price you see is the price you pay, with inclusions and cancellation terms shown before you book, and payment taken securely at booking.
